Do You Love Your Dog?
Houston resident, pet columnist, and blogger Bobbi Leder’s story in the book offers insights into the emotional support and health benefits women get when a dog becomes a BFF. Bobbi’s story about Euri, an English cocker spaniel who restored her to health, is featured in Dogs and the Women Who Love Them. Bobbi and Euri will both be signing/paw-printing books on Sunday, November 7th at Natural Pawz Heights, 514 West 19th Street, Houston, TX, 713-864-4777. The local Gulf Coast Cocker Spaniel Rescue will benefit from sales of the books, a raffle, and dog costume contest at this event. There is a $5 entry fee for the costume contest. Everyone is invited to dress up and bring their dogs and/or share photos of the dogs they love for this celebration of a relationship unlike any other.
O Magazine recommended Dogs and the Women Who Love Them, and it’s on the Oprah.com website. Betty White, Wendie Malick, Vanessa Williams, and American Humane Association, among others endorsed the book. In this collection of true stories from women around the country, dogs serve as companions, listeners, canine children, creatures to rescue, and protectors.

“These heart-warming stories of dogs and the women who love them solidify the fact that the animal-human bond is so unique and necessary for enhancing one’s life. You’ll find a bit of yourself in each tale.”

“These stories come from a diverse range of women about a diverse range of dogs and experiences, yet they share one common, uplifting theme: how women and dogs inspire and fulfill each other through love, dedication and companionship. The Andersons excel at celebrating that special bond.”
--Debrah R. Schnackenberg, Vice President, Emergency Services, American Humane Association
“Once again the Andersons have produced an inspiring book for women who love dogs, this time packed with stories and meditations that will make you smile, weep and be moved by scenes from Katrina rescues to the dog that dazzled David Letterman on his Late Night show. If you have a special relationship with your dogs this book is for you.’”
